All of us want things that would make them happy. But things change when you become a parent. So what do parents dream of? First of all they wish for healthy kids. They want to raise them to be successful and self-supporting. But actually nobody teaches them how to be a good parent. Often it’s hard to support them in every way.
Parents quickly find out that when raising their children it’s all about developing good habits.
And this is how MoodUp was born
Since the founders of MoodUp are parents they’ve found out that repetition and the routine of dental hygiene is often disrupted by a childs reluctance. So for that children need some incentives. MoodUp turns everyday routines into fun and games. It gives parents a tool with multiple means of motivation, consistency and focus by using carrot instead of stick. And the whole app is consulted with MoodUp’s trusted psychologists, dentists and teachers.
MoodUp starts with a mobile application that makes children ask to brush their teeth twice a day. It’s going to pay off with minimalizing possibility of cavities, which affect over 60% of youngsters in developed countries. Besides of the costs of dental care it’s still all about developing good healthy habits.
In a couple of days the app is going to be available
First in Google Play, then in the App Store and later on Windows Phone. But they are looking to cooperate also with dental clinics. After a deep research the MoodUp team knows the needs of their owners – easy booking, change & cancelation system and the ability to stay in touch with their patients all the time, not only when toothache happens. Our aim is to do it the way to easily synchronize it with different databases and implement it with the maximum scalability until the end of the year. And MoodUp for kids will be one of its features.
About the MoodUp team
Right now they’re 4 person team. Pawel Masalski as the CEO takes care of the money/investors, moderates the work and focuses on marketing. His previous experience makes him an expert in customer service, inbound marketing and B2B sales to medical industry. Piotr Kazmierczak is a developer who has multiple software skills. He has the ability to deal with different native programming languages, data bases as well as Kinect development. Ola who is our graphic designer is pretty young but she has a great sense of kids’ art. Ola is passionate about young kids and knows their needs. But the app cannot be mute. There is Gabriel who has a great educational background and professionally composes much of the music for the app. Kids don’t have to listen to only pop or childrens music and Gabriel is the one who makes the app fun for both children and their parents. Right now they are focusing on hiring two more developers who will accelerate their progress.
